What aged players are appropriate for this program?
18U players birth years between 2007 & 2011.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Weekly skates in June and July, plus twice weekly skates and four tournaments from August through early November.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
We will practice once or twice a week, and play in 4 tournaments (Denver, Breckenridge, Aspen & Vail).
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
June and July skates are weekends. August - October skates are pending rink approval, but will likely involve at least one mid-week skate plus one weekend skate.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
4 tournaments guaranteed, with some non-league games to fill in empty weekends.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
We ask players to purchase 18U Grizzly Hockey jerseys. SportsYou has more information.
All players born in 2007 or 2008 will need to complete SafeSport training (LINK HERE)
BEFORE they can participate in ANY team activities (including practices).
And remember that neck laceration protection is now required for all youth hockey by USA Hockey.

2025 Grizzly Hockey 18U Programming
Registration covers the fees for Summer June and July weekly practices. In August, practices will increase to twice per week, and four tournaments are included - the Twisted Wrister (8/28-9/1/25), the Kingdom Kup (10/3-10/5/25 Est.), the Aspen Fall Faceoff (10/10-10/12/25 Est.), and the Vail Sportsmanship (10/17-10/19/25 Est.).
