Hello Grizzly Hockey families,

We're really looking forward to another round of practices this week, so please make sure your availability is up to date. We still have spots available at every age level, though limited at 10U/12U. If your player or a friend is interested in joining us, we'd love to hear from you. You can reply to this email or reach out directly at 301-717-2168 or jpetersen@gsyha.org. If you're interested in our 10U through 14U WCHL, please reach out ASAP.

For 8U and Ice Cubs, reply to this email, and we'll help you find the right program.

Schedules and Updates:

Although the schedule is up to date on Crossbar calendars, you can still view it or forward it to friends in the 26.27 GSYHA GAME SCHEDULES for Website GSheet; see the Early Season Tab for more about the Evaluation week (separate email coming). *October 23rd is a Friday; have it marked, please (no school)

We will announce the roster for the 12U Fall Faceoff Tournament after this weekend's practices. We will prioritize 2014s and second-year 12U players who want to play 12UA.

Finally, a warm welcome!

We're excited to welcome Carlos Ross to the Grizzly Hockey coaching staff for the 2026–27 season.

Carlos played junior hockey with the Buffalo Junior Sabres AAA program, then played NCAA Division III hockey at Western New England University.

He served as Hockey Director and Coach at Colorado Extreme from August 2021 through August 2026.

We're excited to have Carlos bring his playing and coaching experience to Grizzly Hockey this season. A five-year resident of the Roaring Fork Valley, Carlos is deeply invested in the local community and its youth sports programs.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the rink!
