USA Hockey classifies age groups as such: 8U (8 years old and under); 10U; 12U; 14U; 16U; 18U. Your child's age on December 31st of the current season determines her/his age group. The USA Hockey registration season runs from September 1 to August 31.

The Grizzly Hockey season length depends on the age of your player:
8U Mite, 8U Ice Cubs , start in November and play through February.
Grizzly Hockey 10U, 12U, 14U Travel teams will start in late September, and play through mid-March. (Spring, summer and early fall programming may be available but will be determined as demand is assessed.)
18 & 16U teams may be offered programming outside of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) hockey season which generally runs from November through March.
